TERMS OF USE FOR THE ONLINE LIFE TIME CALCULATION TOOL
SCOPE OF APPLICATION OF THESE TERMS OF USE
Use of the online life time calculation tool – hereinafter referred to as OLB – requires registration and login, which also constitutes your agreement to these terms of use. By agreeing to these terms of use, a free usage agreement is entered into between your company and AIC Europe GmbH – hereinafter referred to as AIC.
These Terms of Use apply for the duration of the use of the OLB by registered users. AIC reserves the right to amend the content of these Terms of Use at any time. In this case, AIC will notify registered users separately of the changes and their effectiveness.
PURPOSE OF THE ONLINE LIFE EXPECTANCY CALCULATION TOOL
The OLB calculates the expected lifetime of AIC tech brand aluminium electrolytic capacitors in accordance with all operating conditions entered by the user in the OLB.
The results and information provided by the OLB do not in any way replace the calculations, explanations and written statements provided by AIC for the selection of suitable products in electronics development, and do not constitute a binding statement by AIC, but serve solely as informative and non-binding information on the potential lifetime.
The OLB also offers the user the option of saving the operating condition data entered and the results of the calculations under their login for later retrieval or reuse.
USE AND AUTHORISATION
Use of the OLB for personal use is free of charge and at your own risk. The security of the data entered cannot be 100% guaranteed due to internet data transfer.
The OLB can be used around the clock. A support hotline is not offered. Users are of course welcome to send their questions to the AIC sales team by email.
However, AIC reserves the right to temporarily interrupt the operation of the OLB periodically for maintenance work without prior notice and to make changes and updates to the specifications and scope of the products in the OLB at any time in accordance with the latest manufacturer's specifications. This may affect the results of previously stored calculations. AIC accepts no liability for this.
The commercial reuse of the OLB and its use for purposes that are illegal at the time of use is prohibited.
All property rights to the OLB are held exclusively by AIC Europe GmbH.
DATA PROTECTION
AIC stores data of OLB users in accordance with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All information regarding data protection can be found in a separate statement on our website.
TERMINATION OF THE OLB AND CANCELLATION OF USE
AIC is entitled to discontinue the operation of the OLB in whole or in part at any time and without further notice.
AIC is entitled to terminate the user agreement with immediate effect for any user without giving reasons. This is done by means of an informal notification by email to the user.
Users also have the right to revoke this user agreement in writing to AIC at any time with immediate effect.
In both cases, AIC will immediately and irrevocably delete the user's access data and all data recorded by the user.
WARRANTY AND LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
Use of the OLB is at your own risk. AIC does not guarantee the correct and safe use of the OLB and excludes any liability for damages and losses incurred by the user as a result of using the OLB or for customer decisions and product selections made solely on the basis of calculations in the OLB.
AIC also excludes any liability for damages and losses incurred by the user as a result of the OLB being unusable or data loss due to malfunctions or closure of the OLB.
AIC recommends that all users back up the data entered in the OLB locally and in any form in order to prevent loss of information.
